Quality Rating Systems |
||
|
4C encourages families to ask early education programs whether they have earned or are working toward a state quality-rating. These voluntary quality indicators can help families identify quality care. Star-rated programs have fewer children per classroom, staff with training in child development, safe and healthy environments and quality curriculum and administrative practices. Listen to a CET video interview with Executive Director Sallie Westheimer about the importance of choosing quality in early care and education--and how to use state qualtiy-rating systems to "reach for the stars" for your child.
