Family Engagement Specialist

4C for Children Family and Community Services Department is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist whose main responsibilities will be engaging agencies and families in Strengthening Families initiatives and providing parenting support and outreach in Butler County.

This full-time position based in our Cincinnati office will focus on supporting Strengthening Families programs through the implementation of community cafes. Duties will include coordinating Parent Cafes in targeted communities, training and coaching other agencies to provide their own Parent Cafes, and networking with families and agencies to promote Strengthening Families. In addition, this position provides phone-based resource and referral services for families seeking child care and in-person outreach and parenting education services in Butler County.

A successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, family studies, or a related field, as well as at least two years professional experience. Knowledge of parenting, diverse family systems, adult learning principles, and experience with public presentations strongly preferred.

The quality programs specialist will provide coaching and training to teachers and administrators throughout Miami Valley. The specialist will be responsible for building relationships with early childhood professionals, collaborating with other team members to meet the needs of the community as well as staying on top of the latest research and best practice within the field.

Family and Community Services, Resource Specialist

4C for Children is looking for a positive, energetic individual to provide early childhood resources, child care referrals and parenting education to families. The specialist will work as part of a team to improve the wellness of families through family playtime groups and phone-based parenting support.

We are looking to fill one full-time position, based in our Dayton office. The specialist will provide counseling and referrals to families on the selection of child care. They will also connect families to community services, provide follow-ups, and support families as they navigate systems and work to access child care resources. This position will regularly assist with the facilitation of 4C Play & Learn groups and some presentations on parenting. They will spend time building and maintaining effective collaborative partnerships with parents through high-quality customer service, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. A qualified candidate will be comfortable collecting, entering, and filing large amounts of evaluations data for Family and Community Services programs.

The resource specialist will have a Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood development, social work or related field and a proven ability to relate to a broad spectrum of parents and demonstrate respect of their experience, knowledge and diversity. We are seeking a candidate who has experience in public speaking, delivering workshops or facilitating groups. The ability to problem solve, make independent decisions, set priorities and manage resources needed to achieve goals is crucial to the success of this position. All candidates must have experience using I.T. systems for research, resource navigation and record keeping. Reliable transportation is required.
