Strategic Director, Quality Programs

4C is seeking an accomplished program leader to join its strategic leadership team. The Strategic Director collaborates to lead the agency’s efforts to increase quality in early childhood programs throughout Ohio and Kentucky. The director provides vision for and oversees a collection of 4C’s projects and services. The area of focus for this director position is professional development for child care providers such as training and coaching.

This position will be based in 4C’s Cincinnati, Ohio office and will play a significant role in community collaboration in the region. The director will lead the implementation of strategic plans, the setting of agency policies and procedures, facilitate continuous improvement, expand and manage program funding, and manage complex projects.

The director will have a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development and Family Studies, Human Ecology or related field. We are also seeking a candidate with five or more years’ experience in a leadership role in early learning and/or education settings and working with adult learners. It is important that the candidate understand the child care field. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing through change, navigating complex political landscapes, inspiring and motivating teams, and thinking innovatively.

Team Leader, Quality Programs

4C for Children has a full-time opening in our Cincinnati office for a Team Leader. This position oversees the day-to-day operation of 4C’s professional development programs for child care providers. The Team Leader hires and develops a skilled team of specialists, oversees a budget, monitors progress through evaluation, and partners to ensure the consistent quality delivery of 4C programs. Working closely with other team leaders and agency directors, the Team Leader inspires front line staff to improve the quality of child care programs and build up the early childhood profession.

The Team Leader is a seasoned early childhood professional with a broad-based understanding of the landscape in which 4C operates. Collaboration, positivity and problem solving are key characteristics of a successful candidate for the Team Leader position.

The position requires combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development and Family Studies, Human Ecology or related field, and two years of experience in a leadership role. In addition, the ideal candidate has experience in adult learning theory and project management, is collaborative and self-directed, can set priorities and meet deadlines, has effective communication skills and provides excellent customer service.

Quality Programs Consultant

4C for Children is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join the Quality Programs team. This part-time position is based in our Dayton Office. The ideal candidate brings a passion for supporting those who work with children, primarily in child care centers.

The quality programs consultant will provide coaching and training to teachers and administrators throughout the Miami Valley. They will be responsible for building relationships with early childhood professionals, collaborating with other team members to meet the needs of the community as well as staying on top of the latest research and best practice within the field.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in early childhood or related field, three years experience in early childhood education, preschool-age child care experience and knowledge of Step Up To Quality preferred.
