Kinship Cafés—a new twist on Parent Cafés.
April 21, 2014
More and more grandparents and other relatives are raising children whose parents are unable to care for them. In partnership with The Kinship Navigator Program, run by Butler County Help Me Grow, 4C kicked off Kinship Cafés—a new version of the highly successful Parent Cafés that 4C has offered for several years as part of its Strengthening Families work. Cafés are community events where parents—and, in this case, grandparents or relatives—can share, learn and provide support to one another. These monthly events began in Hamilton, Ohio, in late 2013.
