4C Hires New Vice President for Agency Development
January 5, 2016
4C for Children has hired Tracy Carter as the agency's new Vice President for Agency Advancement. Carter will fill the position beginning Jan. 13.
This region's leading resource in early education and care for more than 40 years, 4C supports and educates the adults who care for young children at home, in child care centers, preschool programs and family child care homes.
Carter comes to 4C with more than 14 years of fundraising experience in the non-profit sector that includes successful fundraising and executive leadership roles with the Salvation Army and the Arthritis Foundation.
"We are beyond thrilled to welcome Tracy to 4C," says 4C CEO/President Vanessa Freytag. "She brings a wide breadth of successful development, marketing and team leadership skills to the position as well as a wealth of enthusiasm and excitement. I'm confident she will be effective in advancing our fundraising efforts and is the ideal person to represent 4C to our donors and partners and to the greater community."
A graduate of Miami University, Carter is excited about working with a team that is focused on helping children reach their full potential. "The education and advocacy work that 4C is involved in is changing lives every day in our community," she says, "and I look forward to advancing that work."
As the Vice President for Agency Advancement, Carter will lead the agency's development functions and oversee its communication functions. Karen Hurley, who will retire this summer, currently leads these efforts as the Vice President of Development and Communications.
