Fostering resiliency in children means teaching coping skills that will help them through life's ups and downs and this begins by fostering resiliency in yourself. Most of your days are spent taking care of others----children, family or your program. But you can't do those things successfully if you don't take care of yourself first.

To help you do that, the 4C for Children Leadership and Early Childhood Conference Planning Team has created some new and exciting opportunities for our October 27-28 conference.

NEW! Extended Sessions Available Friday Only
Participants will have the opportunity to earn one additional hour of training at no charge by attending one of three Extended Sessions on Friday from 4:15-5:15 p.m.:

  • "Happy and Healthy: Ten Ways to Nurture Yourself Every Day." Join this fun session to reflect on YOU and discover ways to nurture yourself! Every day is a new chance to cherish yourself. You will leave this session with a plan to be the best you can be. Pending Ohio Approved and Kentucky approved Credit: One (1) hour. Sign up when you register for Friday sessions.
  • "How Do I Respond to That? The Do's and Dont's of Professionalism." Reflect in a fun way on professionalism as it pertains to diversity, culture, philosophy, and other early childhood hot topics! Pending Ohio Approved and Kentucky approved Credit: One (1) hour. Sign up when you register for Friday sessions.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Information Session. Join 4C CDA Preparation Program experts Karen Bundy and Linda Lockhart and explore how you can take the next step in your early childhood career! Ohio Approved and Kentucky approved Credit: No. Sign up when you register for Friday sessions.

NEW! Fri-Yay at the Conference!
Instead of thinking Friday, think Fri-Yay! Participants are invited to stick around after their sessions on Friday evening for food, drinks, door prizes and mingling in the main ballroom during an event hosted by Southwest Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children (SWO AEYC) and sponsored by Discount School Supply. Light appetizers will be served and a cash bar available. Exhibitor booths will also be open. The party runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Admittance is included with conference registration. You don't want to miss this!
